Everett Boys & Girls Club Life & Workforce Readiness Program

Kendall Auto Washington partnered with the Everett Boys & Girls Club and their Life & Workforce Readiness Program to teach the kids about what it’s like to work as a technician at Kendall Auto Washington. The Life & Workforce Readiness Program is all about showing young people different career paths and jobs to consider for their future with local experts in our community.

Service Manager, Steve Lennon was our expert for the program. He shared his background and how he became a tech, what it’s like to work at a car dealership and on the latest models of cars, and even demonstrated how the computer system works in his Mobile Service vehicle. The kids had a great time learning from Steve and had fun during the demonstration learning how to set off lights and honk the horn from the tablet.

The kids also enjoyed seeing the Kendall Cares truck and received Kendall squishy trucks to take home. Overall, it was a fun event and we’re excited to kick off more Life & Workforce Readiness events with the Snohomish County Boys & Girls Clubs as we gear up for a big summer event at one of our dealerships.

About the Snohomish County Boys & Girls Clubs Life & Workforce Readiness Program: We know it’s hard to dream about something you haven’t seen, which is why career exploration is key for young people to unlock potential career paths. Many paths lead to great futures–whether it’s trade school, college, military enrollment or straight to a career. Boys & Girls Clubs are kids’ first networks – the place where they meet mentors, hone their skills, ignite their interests and connect to opportunities.
